Meezaan Director Participates in a Panel Discussion at an Academic Student Conference in Arraba
At the invitation of Mashā‘il al-‘Ilm Association in the city of Arraba, Attorney Omar Khamaiseh, Director of the Organization for Human Rights Meezaan, took part in a panel discussion during the annual conference titled “A Whole Society Awaits You.” He offered legal guidance and practical advice to students embarking on their academic journeys.
The conference was held on Tuesday evening, October 14, 2025, at the Cultural Center of the Ghurabaa Association in Arraba, organized jointly by Mashā‘il al-‘Ilm Association and the Al-Nour Student Committee. The event featured a distinguished academic atmosphere and an impressive youth turnout.
Dozens of university students from various institutions across the country participated, engaging with inspiring experiences and practical recommendations to support their academic and professional paths.
The conference, moderated by Mr. Mu’in Sa‘adi, opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an delivered by student Nidal Nassar, followed by a short film portraying the daily realities and challenges faced by university students—highlighting perseverance, determination, and faith in success.
Student Mohammad Lahwani then delivered a heartfelt presentation recounting his university experience, sharing the obstacles he faced and how he transformed them into milestones of achievement and personal growth, inspiring his peers with his persistence and resilience.
In the closing session, a panel discussion was held with the speakers, moderated by Mr. Rashad Kana‘aneh, educator and academic activist. Attorney Omar Khamaiseh addressed key legal issues relevant to students, including responsible engagement with social media and the ethical use of artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, Dr. Wasif Na‘amneh, researcher at Tel Aviv University and senior lecturer at Tel Aviv–Yaffo College, discussed the concept and ethics of genuine excellence.
The Organization for Human Rights Meezaan continues its mission of promoting legal awareness through lectures and community outreach. In recent months, it has launched a series of educational seminars in several towns and cities—including Nazareth, Arraba, and Fureidis—as part of its ongoing efforts to foster a deeper understanding of legal rights and responsibilities across society.
